But first allow me to introduce myself, my name is Jayne Gill and I've started this business after years of enjoyment working with children and adults teaching Pottery and Art.
At my clubs all potters can work at their own level and pace with or without my support. Some may be more focused on achieving a masterpiece while others may be happy and satisfied with just making and decorating a sea monster or thumb pot, just generally experimenting with the clay in a relaxed environment.
I will provide lesson plans for potters to follow together and also share a light introduction on the basics of pottery, glazing and firing if requested. The main focus of all the clubs is to make sure the 'purple potter' feels proud of their pottery whilst having lots of fun. We use the 'Montessori' approach when preferred in our activity workshops for children. The Purple Potters 'Kids Birthday Party' are becoming an extremely popular party activity along with a demand for Saturday morning village workshops which will be visiting your area in the near future.
